Staff very helpful, and courteous. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Close to the Hilton across the parking lot where our children and grandchildren were staying. Breakfast was delicious.

needed 2 comfortable chairs in our room. there was only one, and it wasn't very comfortable.

Great staff and location, loved comfy bed. We had a freshly prepared breakfast with a good assortment of options and foods to come out, as for instance included. Our room was large and well-appointed and had climate control, pay television and a microwave.

Hampton has always been my favorite hotel. The Carlsbad did not disappoint.

Exceptionally comfortable hotel with very courteous staff like a manager, appreciated our staying. Its awesome, central location was a plus.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. I appreciated the hot breakfast, although it was the same each day. One staff member helped me a lot when I had car trouble. He lent me his jumper cables. This kindness.

The noise from the room above was disruptive . The pool chairs were damaged and not addressed until I reported it, disappointing.

Everyone is so accomodating - particularly the breakfast staff and the night manager ( didn't get his name, but was there on both on Dec. 23 and Christmas Eve. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Food at breakfast is delicious and great selection.

Could've Been Better

The folks working there are super friendly, but the breakfast was kinda lame-same eggs and sausage every day. Oh, and the family above us was loud enough that we had to call the front desk. Nice picnic area outside, but that noise really took away from things.

I had a comfortable stay with a solid breakfast with fresh fruit and warm sausage, and the pool and hot tub were perfect for unwinding after my day. The only hiccup was that I requested a top floor room but ended up on a lower level, which led to some noise issues in the morning.

Really good service, clean and comfortable.

The queen room was clean and didn't have any weird hotel smells. The beds were super comfortable, and it was nice and quiet at night. We loved that they offered cable tv, a great bonus for our family. The location was also convenient for visiting attractions nearby.

Breakfast worth waking up for

Every morning, the smell of freshly made waffles filled the air! The staff were accommodating and cheerful.

The air conditioning in our room took a while to cool down, causing some discomfort at night.

A fantastic value with really good service. The staff were really nice too entertain our children with crayons and fun activities. The breakfast was awesome, with a wide variety of hot and cold items, including delicious waffles and eggs that were constantly replenished. The room was spacious and comfortable. The check-in experience could have been smoother, and the staff's attentiveness varied . The pool area could use a bit more cleanliness.

The stay was quite enjoyable. The queen room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast options were impressive, featuring fresh waffles and a variety of fruits each morning. I particularly appreciated how accommodating the staff were when we needed assistance with a few minor issues. It was a pleasant experience that exceeded my expectations, especially with the great location near several dining options.

Friendly staff, excellent customer service, they were very attentive during breakfast service and made sure I had everything I needed including excellent coffee.
